Meet the Team

Tom

I'm Tom and I setup Willow and Oak in 2016. I studied arboriculture at Kingston Maurward College, Dorset where I qualified as a tree surgeon. I specialised in not only the cultivation of individual trees, shrubs and woody plants but also how to prune, fell and maintain them to ensure their safety and appearance.

I successfully completed a joinery apprenticeship at Dominic Ash, Yanworth after leaving school where I followed my lifelong love of wood. I realised though that I was happier outdoors, whatever the weather, rather than being in a workshop for the majority of the time. However I continue to use the skills I learnt as an apprentice, now using the wood that we have cut.

Not surprisingly my favorites trees are willow and oak!

James

I'm James and I joined Willow and Oak in May
2023 and have loved it ever since. The physical work and outdoor sites are a great balance of fitness and enjoyment for me, this in turn greatens my motivation in gaining further experience and knowledge within the company and industry.

Dan

I’m Dan and I’ve been arborist for almost 15 years! I take a lot of pride in my work and I approach each job with thought, consideration and attention to detail as if I were in my own back garden! I will always go that extra 10% to make sure the best result is achieved for the tree and for the customer.

My favourite tree is an Acer as there are so many different varieties. Interests outside of work include training at the gym, so I can carry on climbing trees and long dog walks around the Cotswold countryside.

James

I'm James, I have been an arborist for around ten years. My favorite aspect of the job is the different challenges that each job holds. As well as the level of respect you have to show, not only to the tree or hedge, or whatever we as a team have in front of us, but the property you are working on.

I like to leave every tree, hedge, shrub and job site knowing I showed full respect, and used all the experience in my arsenal to complete it professionally.

My favorite tree, that would have to be a silver birch (Betula pendula).

Jack

Hi, I'm Jack and I'm part of the ground team, keeping it all ship shape whilst the climbers are up a tree or ladder. Always been an outdoors-man now working at doing what I enjoy at the same time!

Ozzy & Rolo

Our ever faithful pair are out with us on most jobs keeping us all smiling.
